Renovation in the Family World & in the self-service restaurant All information
Dear guests of the Alpentherme Gastein,
it's starting! We will start our renovation work in the Family World and the self-service restaurant on April 3rd. Here you will find all the important information about the planned measures including the schedule!
Schedule Family World:

From April 3rd, the Family World will be completely closed for the renovation.

Depending on the weather, the outdoor attractions such as the 4-lane wave slide, outdoor toddler pool and thermal water bathing lake are expected to go into operation from mid-April.

The partial commissioning of the Family World is planned for May 27th. The indoor and outdoor pools including the current channel and slides as well as the toddler and baby pools go into operation. The interior of the Multimedia Dome remains closed for the finalization of the seawater aquarium.

The new family sauna and the new relaxation room will open on July 29th.

Completion of the seawater aquarium is scheduled for August 12th.
Schedule Self-service restaurant
- The self-service restaurant will be closed from April 3rd until May 26th.
What is being renovated in the Alpentherme Gastein:
- The 12 meter high adventure dome in the Family World will in future offer space for thermal bath guests on three levels. There will be a seawater aquarium on the lowest level, a new family sauna on the middle level and a relaxation room on the top level.
- The self-service restaurant is being modernized. A newly structured buffet and checkout area ensures that food and drinks are served faster and more conveniently; the integration of the previous a la carte restaurant into the self-service area creates more space for guests.
Eating and drinking during the renovation in the self-service restaurant:
In order to be able to provide our guests with culinary delights during the renovation work, food is served for spa guests in the external restaurant every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m (Access via the cash desk with a bathrobe or dry clothing). During the renovation phase, the sauna bar opens at 10 a.m. and offers drinks, refreshments and small dishes.
Will there be any noise disturbances during the renovation?
Construction noise in other areas is not expected to be ongoing during the renovation work. Short-term disruptions are kept as low as possible.
