During sling-table therapy, many motions are made easier for patients because the weight of their own body is reduced.

In the process, parts of the body - such as the pelvis, legs, head or arms - are placed in cotton slings and suspended. This takes pressure off the spine and joints.

With the help of the sling table, limited or painful movements can be made considerably easier and completed in virtually weightless conditions.

The goal of therapy is to alleviate acute pain suffered by the patient. The sling table can also be used to target, and strengthen individual muscles or entire muscle groups.
