Physiotheraphy
The basic principle behind physiotherapy is to trigger a reaction within the body through deliberate stimulations, such as heat, cold, and active or passive movements. The skin, for example, reacts to a cold stimulation with redness and warming – automatically controlled by the vegetative nervous system.
In order for a therapeutic effect to take place, it is best if the stimulation is applied at short intervals (like during a cure). In this way, the frequent, alternating applications of heat and cold can, for example, increase the body’s resistance to colds.
Our qualified physiotherapists have received not only comprehensive basic training, but have also completed additional training in osteopathy (manual medicine) according to Bobath, PNF manual medicine techniques, neurotension, the Cyriax method, breathing exercises and the use of a sling table.
Treatment takes place in individual therapy sessions and each session generally lasts 30 minutes (Bobath and PNF: 60 minutes).
The following types of treatment are available: short wave, decimetre wave, galvanisation, lontophoresis, two/four-cell baths, exponential current, diadynamic currents, high volt stimulator therapy, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy; threshold current, ultrasound, sonophoresis and ultra-stimulation current.

Therapeutic and Remedial Exercises
Therapeutic exercises offer the opportunity to intensively and very precisely treat disorders of or injuries to the musculoskeletal system, as well as neurological illnesses (stroke, MS).Our qualified physiotherapists have received not only comprehensive basic training, but have also completed additional training in osteopathy (manual medicine) according to Bobath, PNF manual medicine techniques, neurotension, the Cyriax method, breathing exercises and the use of a sling table.

Electrotherapy
In electrotherapy, the body is treated with electrical charges. This boosts the metabolism, increases blood circulation, relieves pain, releases muscle tension and builds muscle. The following types of treatment are available: short wave, decimetre wave, galvanisation, lontophoresis, two/four-cell baths, exponential current, diadynamic currents, high volt stimulator therapy, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy; threshold current, ultrasound, sonophoresis and ultra-stimulation current.
